How to Choose Your First Tarot Deck
Choosing your first tarot deck is an exciting step into the world of tarot. The right deck should feel visually appealing, easy to understand, and personally meaningful, helping you build confidence as you learn the cards.
Sigils: Creating Symbols of Intention and Personal Magic
Sigils are simple symbols created to represent a specific intention or desire. Used in many spiritual and magical traditions, sigils help focus the mind and channel energy toward a goal. By turning a clear intention into a visual symbol, practitioners create a powerful reminder of the outcome they wish to manifest.
How to Select a Sport to Support Your Soul
During my life, I've often been more of a bench warmer than a figure on the field. One of the reasons is that I've always wanted to relate to a sport. If I was going to put time into getting good—or even okay—at an athletic endeavor, I wanted it to help me express my "real self."
I assume that the most successful athletes often feel this way, even if they don't talk about it. Why shouldn't you be spiritually into your sport? I mean, there is only a single Simone Biles or Tom Brady, but you can still do "you."
Dowsing Tools
The Dowsing Rod
We commonly visualize someone holding a forked stick that reacts when the person is standing over an underground source of water. This is the traditional dowsing tool, easily be made from a V- or Y-shaped branch cut from a peach or willow tree. The dowsing rod is held with the palms upward, holding the two ends of the forks. The elbows are held close to the body, keeping the stick in a state of tension. If you are searching for underground water, think casually about your desire for water, and then walk over the ground until the forked stick reacts. Usually, this is a strong downward pull, known as the dowsing response.
Wisdom from the Amazon
My husband and I had the privilege to vacation in Peru over this past holiday season. The experience was mesmerizing and thrilling. After taking a flight from Lima to the remote village of Puerto Maldanado, we caught a motor boat that took us up the Madre del Dios (Mother of God) River to the Reserve Ecologia de Amazonia, deep within the rainforest of the Amazon. Not only was there no cell phone service, there were very few other guests, as this is the rainy season in Peru and many guests had cancelled their tour due to the worsening Peruvian political crisis.
Psychic Vampires
Psychic vampirism is alive and flourishing in the world today. As consumers of energy rather than blood, vampires of the psychic kind exist in many guises but with one common trait—their own inadequate energy system compels them to tap into and feed upon the energies of unsuspecting host victims. The immediate results of such a one-on-one vampire encounter are anew but temporary surge of energy for the psychic vampire and a serious loss of mental and physical energy for the unsuspecting prey. If you suddenly feel emotionally or mentally depleted, you may be under attack by a psychic vampire. The unfortunate effects of prolonged energy loss are damage to the energy system itself and in some instances, serious illness.
